Ahhh, February. The shortest month of the year, but also somehow the longest. Even though we’re closer to the beginning of spring than we are to the start of winter, February kinda sucks! It often brings us biting winds, more snow than we could ever care for, and sub-zero temperatures. So what can we possibly do to get us through the next 16 days?
Pop-Up Prep!
The time has finally come for us to start looking ahead to the spring and summer! And what better way to do that than by thinking of our Pop-Up events??? We’re so excited to reveal our dates and our COMPLETELY revamped Pop-Up set up for 2019!
Last year, we welcomed 30 different vendors to One EPIC Place from June to October to display and sell their products. We had lots of fun interacting with our community and enjoying the warm weather from our prime location on the front lawn. We put a lot of thought into what worked last year and what we wanted to improve upon and we put together a schedule of Pop-Ups for the coming seasons!
Without further ado . . .
Here are the 2019 Pop-Up Dates:
May 11th – Mother’s Day weekend, SUNY New Paltz graduation
June 2nd – New Paltz Collaborative Pop-Up
June 23rd
July 14th – French theme for Bastille Day
August 11th
September 8th
September 27th
October 6th
Please come visit us at One EPIC Place on any or all the dates for our spring Pop-Ups, whether you’re interested in being a vendor or if you’re just looking for a fun thing to do on Sundays throughout the warm season! You will be exposed to local artisans, businesspeople of the area, and have the opportunity to support local businesses and artists.
Most of all, we are looking forward to enjoying the warm weather and having fun with our community!
So what exactly is different this year?
This year, we want to put the focus on the community. The idea for our EPIC Pop-Ups was born because every year, we watch the traffic pile up during “high-season” right outside our window on Main Street.
“We came up with the idea while watching people in bumper-to-bumper rush hour traffic,” explains Nicole Langlois, EPIC Founder. “So many people come through New Paltz on their way to other destinations, especially the mountains. If those people see enough happenings in town, maybe they’ll be inspired to park their cars and spend some time with us.”
So, we decided to make some changes in the name of some really good Pop-Up fun!
For starters, our pricing structure has changed. Vendors can now claim a spot for only $40 (early bird special), and students (with ID) can claim a spot for $30. But also, our Pop-Ups will be themed! Our Wellness Pop-Up was such a success last year, that we decided to run with the themes for the 2019 season.
